Very Strong El Ninos

As we transition into fall and winter, there has been a great deal of attention in the news about the potential for Super El Niño conditions well into 2027. According to the National Weather Service’s August 20, 2026 update, the current outlook gives us roughly equal chances of experiencing  wetter-than-normal, near-normal, or drier-than-normal conditions.
