Karnack Drainage Pumping Plant

The RD 1500 Watershed Plan has reached another major milestone after the final Record of Decision was published in the Federal Register. We are currently in a 45-day review period that will conclude on November 2. Once that period is complete, the plan can move forward for final submittal to NRCS as we begin pursuing funding for the project. Because a project of this magnitude will require special approval through the U.S. Department of Agriculture, there are still several important steps ahead before construction can begin.

This latest milestone follows two years of work to develop and advance the Watershed Plan.
