Water and Salinity Budget Analysis Project Moves Forward

As we look to better understand field-scale and district-scale recharge capabilities and water quality changes across fields in the Basin, with a specific focus on salinity, Sutter Mutual Water Company is partnering with Davids Engineering on the Water and Salinity Budget Analysis Project. The project will be implemented in phases, with Phase 1 continuing through 2025 and Phase 2 starting in 2026.

For Phase 1, the following tasks will be addressed:

  • Implement the environmental monitoring plan in coordination with SMWC and growers.

  • Develop field-scale and district-level water and salinity budgets.

  • Share results with SMWC and growers via a final report and an in-person workshop.

Please let us know if you have additional questions on this project.
